CISCO - R879337 - Billing Operations Manager - TelePresence Exchange Business Unit - San Jose, CA

As an Operations Manager for the TelePresence Exchange Business Unit (TXBU), you will drive a critical operation that will enable an emerging, high-growth video business. The long-term goals of the TXBU are to drive pervasive adoption of TelePresence technology by delivering hosted video solutions.

In this position you will closely collaborate with other operations manager as well as product management and other business units, finance, operations and support teams in developing critical business enabling processes and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• BU responsibility for aligning billing capabilities with market needs by ensuring billing/collection process is flexible to adjust quickly to changing offerings and can quickly and accurately report on payment status
• Work closely with BU functional leads (particularly product management, engineering and operations) and other internal functions (finance, operations) to define and implement billing and collection processes and tools for a recurring, usage based customer bill, including:

1. Invoicing
2. Rating
3. Taxes / fees (by jurisdiction)
4. Payment
5. Collection and reconciliation
6. Settlement / reports
7. Integration into existing processes / systems (customer database, Cisco ERP systems, finance systems, service desk)
• Lead process of evaluating, selecting and managing third-party vendors
• Define collection processes with Cisco, including evaluation of credit-card payment
• Primary responsibility for successful implementation of new internal and third-party processes
• Manage small team dedicated to implementation and integration of these tools and processes with rest of the organization
• Customize / localize processes / tools by country as necessary
• Build small team responsible for billing / collection operations

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:
• BA/BS (business, marketing, or engineering preferred)
• 10-15 years of prior experience with telecommunications billing (rating, invoicing, settlement) processes
• Past experience in selecting and managing implementation of outsourced billing providers
• Experience in establishing credit card payment processes
• 2-3 people management experience
• Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of urgency. Must be resourceful, proactive and aggressive, willing to swim against the tide.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and possessing a high level of integrity.
• Team player that works well in collaborative situations and start-up environments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions and departments
