Business Operations Analyst

IronPort® Systems, Inc. is an independent business unit of Cisco Systems. Operating as a part of Cisco’s Security Technology Group, IronPort is a leading provider of anti-spam, anti-virus and anti-spyware appliances for organizations ranging from small businesses to the Global 2000. IronPort product lines utilize SenderBase®, the world’s largest threat detection database, enabling powerful security measures that are easy to deploy and manage.

Responsibilities:

IronPort is looking for a hands-on tactical and strategic player to fulfill the role of the Knowledge Engineer. The Knowledge Engineer is more than a technical writer, he/she is responsible for leading the analysis, creation, development and on-going success of knowledge management in Customer Support. Requirements include outstanding spoken and written English language skills, technical expertise in a LAMP environment, knowledge of networking concepts, creative analytical abilities, and exceptional collaboration skills. We are looking for a self-driven team player to take knowledge management initiatives to a new level in IronPort’s fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Maintain and improve the knowledge base, knowledge sharing and analysis tools
• Continuously create and analyze knowledge metrics to create a plan of action
• Identify and collaboratively fill gaps in existing knowledge sources
• Edit and publish knowledge and knowledge base articles
• Develop and enforce the knowledge content standard
• Coach and advise support engineers with article writing and creation
• Manage and moderate customer-facing forums
• Assist in writing notifications, announcements and support portal content
• Launch and lead projects to enhance shared knowledge and knowledge integration
• Define and create customer support engineer training documentation
• Manage project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
