Software Engineer IV / Test Lead
Responsibilities:
The Requirement is for a Lead Test Engineer for System Performance Group of DSSTG (Data Switching, Storage and Security Technology Group). You'll work with or enhance the value proposition of Catalyst 6500/DC3 series of products.

Cisco seeks a Software Test Engineer / Engineering Test Lead to define, establish and execute Test the next generation Hardware and software solutions for the Cisco products that generate significant revenue. You will champion new methodologies and create scalable software solutions that interact with widely deployed Internet products, thereby touching an endless number of users worldwide. Be part of the Cisco organization that is driving the evolution and expansion into new technology areas and market segments. The ideal candidate demonstrates a system-level focus while understanding the impact of every component. Solid understanding of LAN Switching and Routing (IPv4, IPv6 - Both Unicast and Multicast) along with MPLS-VPN, MPLS-TE and associated network protocols is required. Experience with Catalyst 6500 series Switches and Cisco IOS experience is highly desirable. CCIE (or other certifications) is a highly desirable.
Participate (in a senior/ lead role) on a project team of engineers involved in development of software for Cisco products. Requires use of a strong background in SW design, documentation and implementation, on projects that may include any of the following list of responsibilities: Lead project team on the testing of a major SW release, New Hardware design validation, Architecture tests, including the participation in scheduling (from conception to testing). Architect, design and deliver system software tests after specification of platform requirements. Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation in defining product and project level architecture. Participate and/or take a lead role in Cisco’s Patent Program.
Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 7-10+ yrs related experience.
