Engineering Manager

IronPort product lines utilize SenderBase®, the world’s largest threat detection database, enabling powerful security measures that are easy to deploy and manage.
Primary Responsibilities:
The manager will be responsible for assessing the quality of IronPort's hosted security applications. The manager will be responsible for managing a team of quality assurance engineers working to test these hosted security applications. The manager will also guide the efforts of automation engineers working to build automated test suites for these products. The successful candidate will have experience performing quality assurance on hosted platforms and on distributed systems. IronPort's hosted applications react rapidly to real time threats such as spam and virus outbreaks. The successful candidate will have the ability and drive to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Required Experience and Skills:
•Minimum of 10 years experience in QA
•Minimum of 3 years experience as a QA Manager
•Experience managing multiple concurrent product releases
•Experience testing database intensive applications
•Experience testing hosted applications
•Ability to think strategically and act tactically
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must utilize these skills to coordinate effectively across all groups in the organization.
Desired Experience:
•FreeBSD or other UNIX
•Python
•Experience managing offshore efforts
