Cisco - R884410 - Media Backend Software Engineer (TTG) - San Jose, CA

We have a current opening for a Media Backend Software Engineer in the TelePresence Technology Group (TTG) within our Emerging Technologies Business Group (ETBG).

TelePresence is a virtual presence experience that uses advanced visual, audio, and interactive technologies to create an in person experience at a virtual conference table. TelePresence is one of the more recent examples of how Cisco is changing the way we work, live, play and learn. Join our high energy team involved in testing several next generation TelePresence products.

Responsibilities:
You will be developing and sustaining Media Backend software:
-Back end library (BEL)
-Device driver's for HDMI, DVI, FPGA, I2C, etc
-Wireless Interfaces such as Bluetooth
-HD Camera software infrastructure
-HDTV Display control and infrastructure
-Interfacing with peripherals such Laptop's, Doc Camera's projector's, HDMI switches, Power Control devices, etc.

Enhancement of product quality through extensive unit/regression test scripts.
Current and next generation Codecs and Peripherals
Consumer TelePresence Codecs and Peripherals

Requirements:
-Proficient in C/C++ Programming
-10 years of experience in real time systems
-Embedded Software Development and Microprocessor based Hardware
-Familiarity with Linux
-Scripting language 'python' (or some other high-level scripting language)
