Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, and implementation of call control features using the SIP protocol for our TelePresence system. These systems offer an immersive visual and audio environment for virtual meetings. You will design the call flows for communicating with Cisco's Unified Call Manager as well as other SIP proxies. You will give technical direction and help guide the team in designing the behavior of the system including the user interface and system control. You will work with the latest RFC's and standards to implement state of the art SIP implementations.

Requirements:
Detailed knowledge of the SIP protocol through implementation of the protocol
Significant contribution to architecture/design/coding for a shipping SIP-based product.
Ability to architect a protocol implementation after gaining a detailed understanding of underlying platform capabilities.
Fully conversant in SIP, H.323, RTP/RTCP, RTSP and other packet-based telecom protocols.
Experience with C/C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cross-team collaboration skills.
Ability to lead, guide and direct a team of engineers in developing the best possible solutions
Debug complex SIP call flows with IP packet capture tools
At least 12-15 years experience working in Telecom with 7-10 years working on SIP and related RFC's and H.323

Job Description:

The Smart Grid Senior Business Strategy Manager will be responsible for driving, facilitating and delivering key strategic initiatives, planning and special projects. Working very collaboratively with Business Development, Product Marketing, Sales/Channels and Smart Grid Solutions Unit, the Senior Business Strategy Manager will investigate existing or new Smart Grid market opportunities, playing a significant role in shaping the Smart Grid business strategy for Cisco and in taking the business from the early stages through the phase of “crossing the chasm”.


Functional Requirements & Skills:

•Drive targeted Smart Grid market research, business model analysis, market sizing, business case analysis, scenario planning, market entry recommendation, etc.
