EMC Compliance Engineer

Responsibilities:
    The Cisco Systems Central Engineering EMC design group is seeking an EMC engineer with a strong background in electromagnetic field theory. This position will require you to:

    Work with CAD, hardware and ASIC engineers to improve PCB and ASIC packaging for EMC compliance.

    Assist with EMC testing to ensure that products are compliant to EMC specifications, including radiated and conducted immunity, radiated and conducted emissions, ESD, and other immunity specifications.

    Troubleshoot performance issues encountered during EMC testing and provide feedback on issues and solutions to design engineering team.

    Must have good knowledge of the global EMC standards, such as FCC, CISPR, EN, and NEBS.

    Must have good knowledge of test equipment such as EMC receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF amplifiers, ESD generators, and signal generators.

    Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess strong verbal and written communication ability.

    Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

    Must have good knowledge of the global EMC standards, such as FCC, CISPR, EN, and NEBS.
