Software/QA Engineer

    Become a member of the team that delivers the world’s highest performing and highest revenue network products. We are the team that performs end to end System Test for the Catalyst 4000 and Catalyst 6000 product lines. These products make up the foundational architecture of most large Enterprise and Service Provider networks. Features covered include Ethernet switching and virtualization, IPv4 and IPv6 routing, MPLS VPNs and various Metro Ethernet technologies, and industry leading QoS and Security controls.

    We are looking for a Software/QA Engineer. This candidate must be able to design and implement test strategies to allow these features to interact and interoperate with each other in network topologies that are applicable from medium to large Enterprises and Service Providers to deliver voice, video, and data.

    Qualified candidates must be able to juggle and use multiple ISO Layer 2-7 protocols and applications to verify our ASIC based switching and routing hardware platforms.

    Knowledge of various IPv4 and IPv6 unicast routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS-IS preferred. Multicast routing protocols used extensively on a daily basis include PIM Sparse Mode, SSM, and PIM Bidirectional. On the MPLS front, we also interact extensively with MPLS VPN/MVPN and Traffic Engineering. .

    The ideal candidate possesses broad knowledge of the previously mentioned technologies, as well as a total system perspective and a working knowledge of how networking devices interoperate
